Barlond Acosta más conocido como DJ Sweet en la escena DJ de New York, es un joven talento nacido en New Jersey en 1997, su debut fue en 2012 al final del verano, cuando se dio cuenta que esa era su verdadera vocación, influenciado por grandes artistas como Afrojack, comenzó a explorar sonidos y buscar canciones que incluía en sus sets list allí encontró éxito Can’t stop me, y en ese momento decidió ser un DJ.
Dj Sweet Tooth, ha tocado para Studio 51 radio virtual especializada en House Music y temas de los 80, ha participado en grandes fiestas y clubes locales como Space NJ, Burger King Festival, American Legion, Paul Vincent Studios.
En Colombia, se ha presentado en Bogotá, (Revolution Bar, Full 80s), Medellín (Leben Club), Cali (Quicky Shots), Chía (Rompecabezas, Universidad de la Sabana, Raveland).
Comenzó tocando con un mixer básico y un IPhone, luego agregó un ecualizador y un controlador, hasta llegar a especializarse en el manejo del Pioneer Controller DDJ SR que es ahora su equipo oficial, con el que tardó solo una semana en descubrir todas sus funciones.
Ya son 5 años como Dj en los que se ha especializado en tocar nuevos sonidos alimentándose de estilos de Djs europeos como: Laidback Luke, Dvbbs, Deorro, Gta, Mike Cervello, Moksi.
Sus géneros musicales favoritos son el House Music en general, pero también toca Hard Style Music y Trap, en cuanto a este último género ha sido fuertemente influenciado para tocar música de 128 y 150 beats por Yellow Claw, Dj Snake, Cesqeaux, Lny Tnz, Zomboy, 4b, Kayzo , Skellism.
Dj Sweet también hace sesiones en tornamesas, gracias a la influencia de su padre, Barlond, quién fue bailarín profesional en la época dorada del Dance y Break dance, él fue quien le regaló su primer par de platos Technics y le enseñó a hacer scratch.

My name is Barlond Acosta, also known as Dj Swe3t Tooth. Im from New Jersey born and raised all my life. I started Djing back in 2012 by the end of summer. I started Djing because i found it fun and looked cool. I got inspired by a Dj named Afrojack, who is known almost everywhere. He had a song that was being played on the radio called “Can’t Stop Me”. I really liked the song so i decided to do research on the Dj and from there on out i started to get his music and dj. I started with just a basic mixer from Mackie and a iphone. As i learned on how to use the EQS, my cousin gave me his old system which was called a Marathon DCM 3000. I could play with a CD, USB, and SD card. I had it for about a couple of months until i got more music and was used to it. On 2014, i got my official Pioneer Controller, The DDJ SR. It was a controller with tons of buttons and different functions. It took me about a week to understand it and how to use it. Till this day, i use it, make new ideas with it and its easy to carry around. Ive been doing for almost about a total of 5 years. Listening to new music, I’ve been influenced by the sounds of the Netherlands. Some Dj’s that fit my style are Afrojack, Laidback luke, DVBBS, Deorro, Gta, Mike Cervello,Moksi who fit the House genre in general. I also play trap and hard style music and the Dj’s who influenced me on that side are Yellow Claw, Dj Snake, Cesqeaux, Lny Tnz, Zomboy, 4b, Kayzo , Skellism. These artists have influenced me on the way i play music, from 128 bpm to 150 bpm. I don’t really have a certain style that i play but i play with music that gets people excited. Just a couple of months i just got my first pair of Technics Turntables and learning how to scratch. As time passes by I’m still learning and practicing new ideas and tricks. Iive played small shows out in Colombia which were in Bogotá, Chia, Medellin, CALI. These were the places i played for and got the craziest and best reactions to the music i play. Lets see where else around Colombia i can play.
